Tula (fka Tammy)

She is doing just great, she's now as spoiled as the rest of the bunch! She listens very well and is one of the pack. She really seems to like the steady routine we have. She brings in the mail for us every day. She still challenges me every day by seeing what she can get into on my counters. We've had everything from sunglasses to shoes to remotes and pictures "eaten". Oh well, we'll continue to work on that... ha!

Denise/Kona

Denise (aka Kona, which means Lady in Hawaiian) is doing well and so very loved in our family. Kona is a great choice for us and we couldn't love her anymore. As Kona is our daughter Jordan's dog, she is beyond spoiled albeit she is trained and being further trained to be a good dog to interact. I am attaching a few photos so you can see how she has flourished in our home. From the one photo you will see that she has crazy ears that go all over the place...priceless.

Scout
Scout

I just wanted to give you an update on Scout - - my family adopted him this past Saturday at the PetSmart event in Garner. Scout is just the best little fellow! We have a three year old lab mix and they were wagging tails with each other in just moments after our arrival home with him. They have quickly become best buds! Someone - - and a great big thank you to whomever it was - - did a wonderful job with Scout on house training and manners. I am happy to report that he has not had even one "accident" and goes right to the door whenever he needs to go out in between times that we take him. His favorite place to sleep at night is curled up with my 16 year old daughter and he sleeps (and snores!) all night long. We have underground fencing around our entire yard, about an acre, and we have started training him on that and it's going very well. Scout is a quick learner and is so eager to please. Needless to say, everyone at our house loves Scout and we are so happy to have him with us!!

Olaf

I just wanted to update you on Olaf. He is doing extremely well...even better than we ever imagined for the short two weeks he's been with us. He checked out just fine at his first vet appointment and has bonded with all of us, including our dog, Oakley. He lives sitting on his cat tree and watch the birds outside. Here in the picture he is playing with a favorite fuzzy ball, and at the edge of the photo you can see a cat scratching post my hubby built for him. (he's no longer a 'dog person' only...Olaf has won his heart). By the way we decided to re-name him Tabu...he just didn't seem like an Olaf once we got to know his sweet personality and energetic spirit. Well, he is loved by all of us and I just wanted to share the wonderful news...can't imagine our family without him. He brings such joy and laughter to our home and I thank the stars that my errands led me to Petsmart that day. Thanks so much for our little angel.

Lily Belle (now Layla Marie)

My name is Lily Belle (now Layla Marie in my new forever home). My brother and I came to RUFF under some pretty sad circumstances but we have now both found our wonderful forever homes and guess what? I am a beach dog on the weekends! That's right folks my new parents take me to the Outer Banks to visit family and I just love it! My new cat brother and I are getting along pretty good and my parents say they love me so so much! My favorite things to do on the beach are chase birds and nap under the sun. Thank you RUFF for saving my life and giving me a new wonderful forever family!
