Delilah (KNA DeDe) I too have had a good year with our little Dede(Delilah). She has been through two classes of puppy training. One with my husband while I helped out in California with my grand children. The second with me this spring. She is a very social dog. She is also the class clown. She loves to be petted even by strangers. My fear if she ever got away is she is too friendly!! Thanks again!! - Vanessa
Logan Bruce (KNA Gus) It's hard to believe this was one year ago. Gus (formerly Logan Bruce) has been such a great addition to our family. In all honesty his puppyhood was challenging and exhausting, but through it all a sweet, intelligent boy was inside. He gave his rescue sister great comfort in her last days. He's now about 70 pounds of love and energy and we cannot imagine life without him. Thank you NC RUFF. - Kathryn
Gemma After we lost our Scout, I wasn't sure I could love another dog, but I knew our home was missing something (or someone). We began looking and saw Gemma's picture on RUFF's website. Early one Saturday, we ventured out to Petsmart to meet her. She was gorgeous, but she was spunky. We brought her home for a trial run, and despite a few behavior issues, we decided she belonged with us. With some training and hard work from both people and dog, a year later Gemma is a WONDERFUL family pet! Just last night, as she was snuggled up with us, we were talking about how she has turned into such a great dog and we can't imagine life without her! Thank you, RUFF, for taking such good care of our girl until we found her! - Jennifer
Ruby We lost our beloved Bethany in 2011 and our beloved Nicky in 2012. Both to cancer. We had been visiting the SPCA some evenings on our way home from work to get our hands on some fur. We met Jovi, fell in love with him and adopted him the next day. We wanted a companion for him and he was a little strange around other dogs and we were told we needed a "John Coffey" dog. I had talked to Miss Cindy and she told me that Mama Ruby was that type of dog. We came to Petsmart on a Saturday in April 2013. We met her, brought her home to meet Jovi, and she never left. She won't let you sleep in on the weekend because she wants her breakfast on time and will howl and paw you until that happens....but we love her with all our hearts and are thankful to Cindy, Terri, Carleen, Karen and everyone else at RUFF for saving her and her puppies. - Mona
Reno Hi RUFF: We are all in love with Reno and are enjoying having him a member of our family. Jeff has been making progress teaching him to play fetch. The boys and I have taught him to 'shake'. We think the next trick we'll work is 'speak'. He's been to Aiden's piano class twice. Ryker is in training for soccer try outs so he and Reno jog 1 mile together most days. I make him sit and stay (a little longer every few days) while I get his food ready so he's not pouncing all over me and he listens better each day. I had been taking for a 6 am walk every morning. The past few mornings, he's decided he wants to start his day about 4:20 am (going to have to put a stop to that). I try to make him sit and stay while I get my shoes on for our am walk. This is more challenging for him, but we'll get there. He enjoys being combed daily with is 'Dakpet' comb. He did not enjoy his first bath with us. Aiden and I are planning to take him on his first hike at Eno River Park tomorrow. Another successful adoption by NC Ruff! Best, Lyn Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
