Logan Bruce (KNA Gus) It's hard to believe this was one year ago. Gus (formerly Logan Bruce) has been such a great addition to our family. In all honesty his puppyhood was challenging and exhausting, but through it all a sweet, intelligent boy was inside. He gave his rescue sister great comfort in her last days. He's now about 70 pounds of love and energy and we cannot imagine life without him. Thank you NC RUFF. - Kathryn
Lava (now Pepper) Dear Ruff, We wanted to send an update on Pepper aka Lava. She recently turned one and she has been a great addition to our family. She loves to play, get dirty and take walks around the block with her adopted big brother Buddy. The two bonded immediately and are always together. We want to thank you for the work you do because we were able to adopt Pepper. - The Davies
Lucky (now Luigi) Dear RUFF, We and Luigi are doing well. He is very sweet, very playful, and a little mischievous (typical puppy stuff). He seems very smart and is a quick learner. He loves every person and dog he has met. He has been to two soccer games and a trip to pet smart. We are all very fond of him and he seems to be very happy with us. He is a great eater and seems fully house trained. His foster family socialized him extremely well. Please thank them for us. I will try to send photos this weekend. Warm regards, Kimberly
Lily Belle (now Layla Marie) My name is Lily Belle (now Layla Marie in my new forever home). My brother and I came to RUFF under some pretty sad circumstances but we have now both found our wonderful forever homes and guess what? I am a beach dog on the weekends! That's right folks my new parents take me to the Outer Banks to visit family and I just love it! My new cat brother and I are getting along pretty good and my parents say they love me so so much! My favorite things to do on the beach are chase birds and nap under the sun. Thank you RUFF for saving my life and giving me a new wonderful forever family!
Lulu aka Dolly She is doing great! She loves walks in the neighborhood and around the lake, but doesn't like to be in the backyard, with or without us. Turns out her skin is allergic to grass! She loves meeting other dogs, but didn't enjoy the dogpark, even though it doesn't have grass. Think we'll wait and try it again. She travels well, so we've been able to avoid boarding her for all but once ot twice We use the vet she went to when she was with you -- and have had very good experiences there. Daisy ( what we call Dolly) is happy to go there the few times it's been and the staff remember her. She had a few accidents onthe floor at first but it's been months since that happened. When we are out she stays in our room. If she needs to pee, she uses the pads in the bathroom, forexample, occasionally she'll use them in the middle of the night. She likes to chew so we try to keep plent of that stuff for her. Even so, once in a while she'll chew tbrough a lamp cord. At first we didn't realize she was eating some of the catfood, so she piton jysta bit too much weight. But with the walks and playing and no.more cat fod, she's come down some. She still isn't a big water drinker but likes her food mixes with plenty of water which she laps up. She's on the trifexis monthly. No flea problem. Oh, she is getting along fine with the cats. the indoor one was curled up with her on the sofa when we andour younger daughter were sitting there watching TV -- so cute! The indoor outdoor cat follows Daisy on neighborhood walks. We've been washing and brushing her but need to get a new brush I think. She's doing better with the baths. She is just about the perfect dog. It's. so wonderful.tohave sucha happy affectionate dog. Thank yousimuch for takinv care of her and letting us adopt her!!!
