Bear (now Grizz) We renamed him Grizz (like Grizzly) and he is already 17 pounds - quite a chunk! He is having fun with Bubba our 7 yr old hound dog, and is wearing him out. He likes his new bed - but we've learned to give him A LOT of exercise to help him sleep. Fortunately we have a fenced in yard he is busy exploring. He already knows how to sit for treats and food, and he pushes doors open - something our hound still doesn't do. Thanks for taking care of him and his littermates.
Bogey He's doing SO well, and we love him more and more every day! He just graduated from Puppy training at PetsMart on Monday (the first pic is him with his cap on on Josh's lap). He is such a sweet puppy, and he LOVES going to doggy daycare twice a week at Dog Diggity. He has really come out of his shell since going to puppy training and day care. He LOVES other dogs, and he's starting to come around with strangers, but he's still just a little timid with new people at first. But he's definitely made improvements from the shaky little boy that he was when we first adopted him. He loves to go to Lake Lynn and Shelley Lake on the weekends, especially with this great weather we've been having! And he walks at least 1.5 to 2 hours every day! He's keeping us very active, and it's great to have that bonding time with him every day. He's already learned sit, lay down, come, let's go, up (into the car), stay and paw! He's such a smart boy. Bo is growing very fast, he's over 25 pounds, up from 16 when we first got him! He's getting strong and muscular and he's got such a great and lean body shape. Everyone at doggy daycare calls him a little pit bull puppy, because he looks SO much like a pit bull now, but we don't correct them anymore :) I think he's hound and pitbull, so that's what we tell people that ask. I don't care what he is anyway, he's a great dog and that's all that matters :) Thank you again for everything, and for giving us a wonderful new addition to our family. I'll try to remember to send pictures every so often and keep you posted on how he's doing.
Bitsy (Itty Bitty) (now Biscuit) Well, now my name is biscuit. My sisters had a hard time trying to say Itty Bitty so they changed it. Here is a picture of my two sisters and me playing in the back yard. They even got the back yard fenced in just for me so we could run and play all we wanted. I don't like it when my sisters go to school. I just lay in front of their bedroom door and wait for them to come home. I get very excited when I see the bus in the afternoon because I know my girls are home to play with me. I am almost potty trained and I really love it here with my new family and they all love my sooo much. We are all going to be fine together.
Bendy (now Glasha) Hi RUFF family we wanted to give you an update on our girl. Bendy now Glasha is doing great! She has figured out which cat she can play with and which cat she can't. She sleeps on the bed with us and is on the sofa when we're downstairs. We started obedience class at PetSmart last Friday just to polish her manners. Other than housebreaking (which we're working on) we really couldn't ask for an easier transition. If you want us to bring her for a visit let us know when you're going to be at the Apex Petsmart for an event and we'll bring her by.
Betty Boop Betty Boop has turned out to be our diamond in the rough. Ever since “coming out” she has turned into a very sweet kitty. For anyone not familiar with the story, Betty got scared and found a left over hole in the wall near the washing machine to hide in. She stayed cloistered for almost a month, but there were signs that she was sneaking out at night to eat, drink, and visit the litter box. Finally, after some soft talk and coaxing, she began to come out and visit. Sometimes it was only for a few minutes. Eventually she started spending an hour or two out of the wall. She wasn’t always friendly, but she slowly overcame her shyness and fear. After Betty came out, she was very territorial over her little section of the kitchen. Eventually, Betty got to be a bit more friendly and the hisses ceased. She now enjoys playing together with her sister Sidney (also rescued from RUFF) and chasing the laser pointer. Although Betty Boop still doesn’t want to be pick up and held for very long, she will come over and occasionally sit in a lap. She has the smoothest and sleekest fur and she loves to be rubbed. Her favorite thing is to hold up her head, stretch out her neck, and be rubbed and scratched under her chin and down her neck. We are very happy to have found these cats and they have certainly become a part of the family. Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
