Hi, my name is Mara. I am a female spayed rat terrier cross that weighs about 25lbs. My foster mom says that I seem to be the happiest dog all the time. I absolutely love to interact with people, both female and male in whatever way I can. Throw a ball, throw a fluffy squeaker toy, or throw a tug rope, I don’t care; I will fetch it and play and play and play. I love to tug with both my human companions as well as my dog friends. Just the other day, I had my foster mom laughing and smiling widely because I started a tug of war with my 3 other foster brothers using only one tug. All of us were growling and really getting into it; it was so much fun! In case you haven’t noticed, I really love to play but I can also entertain myself if needed. Just recently, I discovered the squeaker inside a toy; oh boy was that awesome! A game of my own making then ensued where I would squeak the toy then drop it and stare at it like it was some alien creature. Then I would bark at it while play bowing and jumping forward to pounce on it but once I touched it, I would turn and run as though it was going to jump on me in return. I did this for about thirty minutes and had my foster parents laughing so hard, which made me want to get some rubs from them during my play breaks. When I’m tired of entertaining myself, I will find some comfortable place to go and will curl up there and sleep for hours. If you have some nylabones or some type of chew toy, I will be content to chew on that when I wake up and then will drop back to sleep again. I am working on my housetraining but, according to my foster mom, I am further along than her previous fosters have been. I am somewhat unsure of children but I haven’t truly encountered any while in foster care so that is still on my Bucket list. I love other dogs and am very respectful of them when they tell me to leave them alone. Rough housing is so much fun but I also love to play the chase game where I run and another dog tries to catch me. I feel like I’m in heaven when I can run around my foster mom’s fenced in backyard. In my foster mom’s words, I am a happy, sweet and loving dog that would absolutely love to bring joy to your family if you would just give me the chance. Up to date on age appropriate vaccines, spayed and micro-chipped. Adoption Fee: $150.00 More about MaraGood with Dogs Video of Mara:
