Berry is your typical puppy. She hasn't quite gotten past the chewing stage. She needs to be reminded what is and isn't a toy. I just keep plenty of toys around, so I can give her an appropriate item to distract her. She loves playing with her toys and wrestling with my dogs. She hasn't mastered fetch yet, but she's getting there. She is a little shy in new situations, but with some encouragement or treats she comes around quickly.
Berry is a little nervous when meeting new dogs, but is fine after a few minutes. She is good with cats too. She REALLY wants to play with them and my cats are not impressed by this. She is respectful of their hissing and finds something else to play with. It's actually pretty funny to watch. She's learned that leaping over to them really excitedly just makes them runaway, so she creeps slowly across them room, but once she gets up to them she can't help but poke them with her nose or play bow while barking.
Berry has met kids a few times and is getting more use to them. She's a little scared at first, so older children might be better.
Berry is potty trained and has had zero accidents since arriving at her foster home. I take her oustide as soon as I let her out of her crate and right after she eats and she has done great. Berry is also crate trained. She will even put herself in her crate for a nap after she gets tired of playing. I think she would enjoy having a crate in her new home, so she has a space that she knows is her own. (SK/MP)
