Hello nice person. Thank you for your interest in me. My name is Layla.  I am Golden Retriever locked in a Terrier body. I have a gorgeous charcoal coat. And my ears!  Oh you should see my ears. They are so cool. I bet they are able to turn 180 degrees. Come visit me. I will show you.  

I know I look like a tough gal, but there is no need to shy away from me. I am the sweetest doggie in the world.  My aim is to please. I am sweet and loving. I give kisses, and I listen very well. What I like most in this world is attention. Everybody calls me a "wiggle butt" because I get so excited when anyone talks to me or pays me any attention. I love belly rubs and I just want to be with people.

While I would love to have a home with a fenced yard, I would do just fine in an apartment as long as I receive a few long walks each day. I am really good at keeping the bed warm for you.  Think how nice it would be to come home to a warm spot on the couch.  I am such a great seat warmer.

I am no longer in the puppy age group, but that does not mean that I do not have energy. I do!  I love to play and run like the wind. But when I'm tired I like to settle down for a nice nap. My favorite spot is next to my foster mom, often in her lap. Yep, that's right, I am a lap dog. I know I know. I am a bit large to be a lap dog. But I curl up and fit nicely in her lap.

I am also crate trained, house broken and passed obedience class with flying colors. So what are you waiting for? I am the whole package...come out and meet me at the next adoption event if you are looking for a fun and sweet girl to add to your family. (*TL/CW)
