Hi. My name is Peanut Buddy. I was adopted as a puppy but returned to RUFF because my owners didn’t have time for me. I am looking for a family who will give me constant attention and a mom who won’t mind if I follow her all around the house. I love kids and I don’t mind kitties at all. Honestly, I pretty much ignore kitties because they don’t pet me, talk sweet to me or give me the attention I want. I am hesitant around men but if they feed me lots of treats I usually warm up pretty quickly. It is better if they let me approach them because I get nervous when they walk right up to me and try to pet my head and sometimes I will growl. I don't do it to be mean, I am just a little scared of them at first. I like to go for car ride and I like to play fetch and to toss a rope around. I love stuffed animals but I tend to shred them and swallow the material so I need to be supervised. I like to pick up socks and gloves that are left laying around and sometimes I swallow them too so it is better if they aren't left laying around in the first place. I like other dogs but if they bark and jump around, it is frightening to me. I am a lover not a fighter! My foster sister, Abby Girl, is my favorite dog friend. They call us Mr. and Mrs. Peanut Buddy because we are always together. I would love it if we could be adopted together. I never want to go anywhere without her by my side. I like going on walks although I am a bit hesitant in new surroundings. When there are other people, cars or things on the road (like garbage cans), I get a little nervous and may lay down or try to bolt so I need lots of encouragement until I feel comfortable. My foster mom is trying to help me overcome these fears. My foster mom says I need a home with a confident dog (but not a dominant alpha because I am so fearful already) who will help teach me not to be so scared. She says I am a totally different dog when I have a confident dog around! I know some basic commands like sit, no and stay. I am learning not to jump on people. I only do it when I am really excited. I am house trained and crate trained. I am also learning the "down" and "off" commands. I am still a young boy but I am not out of control like a lot of other pups my age. My foster mom says I need a family that will exercise me daily so I am not destructive, be firm with me when they need to and consistent so I learn the rules of the house. Do you have some extra space in your heart and home for a sweet boy like me? (MB) Up to date on age appropriate vaccines, neutered and micro-chipped. Adoption Fee: $75.00
