Nora is a three year old Jack Russell/Rat Terrier mix. She's only about twenty pounds and has the personality of about three dogs. She's pretty energetic and needs a family that will take her for daily walks and would love a fenced in yard to play in. She would also like a dog friend to play with. When she wrestles with the dogs in her foster home she makes all sorts of strange piggy noises. Once she gets her exercised she is ready lay around the house. She loves people and will lay right at your feet (or in your lap if you let her). She lives with two cats now, but doesn't understand why they don't want to be her best friends. She would do best with cats that have lived with dogs previously and know how to tell them who's in charge. She has done great with all the kids she has met (7-14 year olds). Even when all three of the younger ones are yelling at her to sit in unison. She's super smart and learns commands really quickly. One thing she needs to work on is leash walking. The squirrels are too tempting! She is crate trained and potty trained. She'll bark once or twice when someone comes to the door and whines for a couple minutes when her foster mom leaves in the morning, but overall is pretty quiet.  (SK)
