Hi, Yogi Bear here! Though my foster family usually calls me “Bear Bear”, those silly humans. They also tell me that I am the most wonderful and sweet dog they could have asked to foster so I guess they aren’t too silly. I am about twenty pounds of sweetness and just one look into my soulful eyes and you will see how much love I have to share. I am a chihuahua-jack russell mix so I have lots of energy, but three years old so without most of that puppy trouble. My foster family wants to be sure you know that I am absolutely wonderful with dogs, cats, tiny baby kittens and even the family’s hamster. I am curious but not overly so and really just want to be with my family at all times wherever or whatever that might mean. My ten year old human foster sibling calls me her little shadow. I think she hung the moon but have more than enough love for every human in my life.  I tolerate costumes both on me and on others though I am new to a harness and leash so pull a little on walks. I love to chew on toys and can tear through a tennis ball really quick, but do a really good job knowing the difference  between what’s mine and what’s not and just one “no” keeps me from touching someone else’s toys.

I came to RUFF a product of divorce and while I am very loving and crate trained I wasn’t worked with very much on basic commands and manners. For that reason I might not be best with little children. When I get overly excited I can grab a little hard and I really don’t like to have someone pull my ears or tail. I am however, very eager to please my humans and am extremely treat motivated so will learn tricks and commands really fast for you, just as I have been for my foster family. So, if you are looking for a little shadow to keep you laughing and feeling loved all your days, please come meet me, Yogi Bear.
