Hi; I’m Copper, and I'm a sweet and friendly one-year-old "love bug"! I easily win over everyone I meet because I am so affectionate. My seven-year-old (human) foster cousin says I am his favorite doggie. I love playing with toys, or even sticks. You can see a video of me goofing around the yard on my page at NCRUFF.org. I'm a medium/large size dog, weighing just over 50 pounds. I want to be the only dog in your home (I'm scared of other dogs, especially when they bark at me!), and I am looking for a home with a fenced-in backyard. No apartments or townhomes. I’m house-trained, crate trained, and I already know some tricks like “sit” and "shake". I'd love to show you!

I like to sniff absolutely everything and everyone with my big hound nose, and I love to play! My favorite toys are my rope and my tennis ball, and my favorite games are tug of war, keep away, and fetch. I’m really good at all of these games, but I've been known to get distracted by a really interesting scent now and then!

I stay in my crate when I'm home alone, but I get free reign when my humans are home, even overnight, because I'm not destructive. At night, I will sleep on a doggie bed or in your human bed, if I'm allowed to!
