Hi everyone! My name is Tara and I am a 1 year old female spayed miniature pinscher/corgi cross. My foster mom says I need to describe myself so that I can find the perfect forever home. Here goes. Cuddling! I LOVE cuddling! On the couch or the floor or anywhere that my person is I just want to be touched and rubbed. I just love to have belly rubs and be held like a baby. Sometimes, if I'm a little unsure of my welcome, I will do a belly crawl to you and be half way turned on my side. I am learning the housetraining stuff, whatever it is called. This is sort of embarrassing but, even though I'm an adult, I have to be treated like a puppy as far as housetraining goes and cannot be allowed loose in the whole house unsupervised and I have to be crated when my foster parents are away. I have made great progress and I am very comfortable in a crate. I am used to staying in my crate while my foster parents are at work or when I can't be supervised and I stay in there quietly without much complaint. Sometimes, my foster mom gets frustrated because I play a game of "I don't want to" with the crate at night which entails me running up to the crate then away and belly crawling back then repeating the process. I know I'm supposed to go in at night but I just don't want to yet. Eventually I go in without an issue but I would much rather be sleeping in the bed with my people. That would be my idea of a slice of Heaven. One other quirk that I have started to show is that I smile. A doggy smile and not a snarl. I do it to my foster dad when I want him to pet me and a little to my foster mom. They think it is adorable and tell me I'm a good girl. I love being rubbed and held, did I mention that?

I love both men and women although my foster mom has a suspicion that I like men more. My favoritehaven't yet built up the confidence to play with someone yet.

I'm friendly with everyone I meet outside but I am cautious of people that seem intimidating and just want to hide behind my foster mom. When people come over to the house, I bark initially but do investigate and will take treats and pets from them eventually. My job, when the door is open, is to guard the house and alert my people when someone is walking nearby. My foster mom is trying to teach me otherwise but it is hard to do that when the other dogs in the house have the same idea. I do great for nail trims and baths and am NOT food aggressive.

I would do great in an apartment or a place with a small yard since I don't really need large amounts of exercise. I LOVE to go on walks and do walk nicely on a leash so I would be very happy with just that. What I so desperately want, is someone to love me unconditionally and to allow me a place in heart and home where I can cuddle to my heart's desire. person right now is my foster grandad. If I see him coming, I start doing circles and I run around like a crazy dog.  I get along great with most dogs but I am not the type of dog to take bullying. If another dog gets in my face and is mean, I will stand up for myself. I have settled in very nicely with my foster mom's three dogs and have even started to try to play a little. I don't really know how to do that right now, play. I have started playing with toys on my own but I
