Hi everyone, my name is Leonidas, but the people who love me call me Leon for short. I've had a rough start to life, but I am the sweetest pup and I'm ready for my forever home. A few months ago I was hit by a car and my leg was pretty badly injured. After two surgeries I am finally healed up and ready to go. I am about 7 months old and my foster mama says I am the laziest puppy she has ever known. My favorite thing to do is snuggle - I like to snuggle on the couch, on the floor, in bed, anywhere! Right now I live with two other dogs and two cats. I can be pretty playful sometimes with the other dogs when we run in the backyard, but usually I prefer to just snuggle up with them. Sometimes I like to sniff and nudge the kitties, but I don't bother them too much. Foster mama says even though I look like a pocket pittie, I can sometimes talk like a beagle, especially right before meal time, she thinks it's pretty cute. I am crate trained, but I'm also couch trained, and I can sleep all night snuggled up on the couch. I just had my final health check and the vet cleared me for adoption but there is something you should know. When the car hit me, it messed up the growth plate in my back left leg, even though I'm healed up, that leg will always be shorter than the other one. It doesn't bother me, I can still run and play like the other dogs, but when I walk I will always have a limp and look a little crooked. Foster mama says it's cute that I'm a little crooked, but before you take me home, you should know I'm a little lopsided. The vet has recommended that I always take joint supplements and have regular check ups to keep me healthy! I think that even though I'm a little crooked, my heart is bigger than ever and ready for love! (AC/CM*) Up to date on age appropriate vaccines, neutered and micro-chipped. Adoption Fee: $175.00 |
