My name is Ellie. My foster mom calls me Ellie Mae. I was found as a stray. My foster parents think I was abused as I tend to shy away when approached. Slowly, I’m starting to realize the humans aren’t so bad. I REALLY want to play with them and will follow them around. But I turn tail and run when they stop to touch me. I’m just reeling them in by playing hard to get!

I love the big fenced yard and enjoy running and playing with my foster brother Tyson. We wrestle and chase and play. I like to steal his toys right out of his mouth. Foster Mom says I’m sure not shy around him! 

The humans let me sleep in the bed with them. I really like that!  I feel more comfortable here and snuggle up. I sneak in lots of puppy kisses just to let them know how sweet I really am.

My Foster Mom says I’m gonna need parents with a lot of love and patience. She knows how hard I’m trying to open up and learn to trust. She says I’m gonna get there with a little help and having another dog at home with help me too. (MA)
