Hi my name is Bella Jean, more affectionately known as Bella Boo :). My beginnings in life have been quite difficult as I was surrendered to animal control by my owners with no information on my personality or history. It was apparent that I had recently given birth to pups and were still currently nursing them, however they were not surrendered with me. I was taken to a high kill shelter and one of RUFF's contacts saw me in the back of my kennel shaking and scared without my babies. I was scheduled to be euthanized due to lack of space when RUFF's contact reached out to my foster mom about taking me. The rest is history as I have put in a TREMENDOUS amount of work learning to trust people and learn what it is like to actually be a dog. Even though I am young in age, my demeanor is that of an older more laid back dog. I enjoy napping in my mom's home office on my bed, or joining her and my foster Dad on the back porch in the mornings with their coffee...notice I said mornings, because this girl here is NOT about the heat and hot weather! I LOVE the air conditioning :)! When the weather is nice, I enjoy taking walks in the neighborhood with my foster parents dog. I absolutely LOVE other dogs and I am much more comfortable with having a canine friend around, so my foster Mom says I need to go to a home with another dog or two so that I can be a part of the pack. My ideal home is one that is more quiet with just my owners, another dog or two and occasional visitors. I take time to warm up to new people and places, but once I am comfortable I am a sweet girl who just wants to be loved. My foster Mom also says that I need a home without children, as they make me extremely nervous with their unpredicted movements and sometimes loud behavior.
