Hello world, I'm Doyle!

As you can see from my pictures, I am a Rough-Coated Collie. In other words, I am a long-haired Collie, but I am currently sporting my summer cut. Handsome, aren't I?

I am a former stray who is looking for a forever home. I am good with other dogs, love kids, am undecided about cats, and I am housebroken. My foster mom lets me have free run of the house and I do pretty darn good if I do say so myself. I am leash trained and micro-chipped and up-to-date on my shots and am heartworm negative.

I do however have one little, maybe two, teeny problems - I am smart and have a very gentle personality. So if I do something wrong, and you fuss at me, I will act like you have broken my heart. And because I am smart, I have figured how to outwit underground fencing so a regular old fence is a must. After all, you wouldn't want to fuss at me for wandering the neighborhood, would you?

My other problem is that I am getting a little older and I have been diagnosed as being blind in my left eye - I can't see anything. I have also been diagnosed with "Collie-eye" in my right eye. I can see pretty good, but I do not have the eyesight of a Greyhound or other sighthound. It only bothers me during non-daylight hours and then I can't see very well to navigate the yard to do my business so it takes me a little while longer to find my way back. Other than that, I am pretty darn near perfect!

Come and meet me.

Love,

Doyle (*DP)
